This is the 9^th house of any birth chart. This is the house from where you see your Dharma and Luck.

It also denotes Faith, wisdom, divine worship, pilgrimages, philosophy, fortune, religious dispositions, meditation, intuition, sacrifices & charity, father, preceptor, learning, teaching, dreams, visions, long journeys, air & sea travel, higher education, foreign travels, knees, luck, higher learning, all deeds which we feel like we are doing for a higher purpose, taking care of people as part of your dharma, pilgrimage, gurus, teachers, post grad education, boss, ability to earn money from foreign places, migration of your family, ending of family’s wealth, transformation in family’s wealth, luck, bhagya.

9^th House is responsible for the luck in your life and the learnings you get from your Father and Guru.

This house also called Dharma Bhava as it represents your Religious & Spiritual pursuits.

Relatives it signifies are – father, Guru, wife’s brother, brother’s wife, mind of children

The body parts signified by this house are Hips, Hip Joints

Placements of different planets and lords of different houses in the 9^th house play a very crucial role to judge the entire well being of the house. 

Below are the basic and general permutation and combinations, as given in the texts, if the 9^th lord is placed in the 12 different houses. This is at a very basic and mundane level. The actual impact can be judged when we combine the Lord placement with the sign and planet placements. But from a basic comprehension aspect, this will be helpful to understand as we go along. So, this is not to be taken literally as full diagnosis is required. You also have to understand, that these texts were written when our society and culture had much different values and norms. You have to be intelligent enough to interpret these according to today’s time place and condition. These are just excerpts.

9^th Lord in the 1^st house: Native will be fortunate, will be honoured by the king, be virtuous, charming, learned and honoured by the public.

9^th Lord in the 2^nd house: Native will be a scholar, be dear to all, wealthy, sensuous and endowed with happiness from wife, sons etc.

9^th Lord in the 3^rd house: Native will be endowed with fraternal bliss, be wealthy, virtuous and charming.

9^th Lord in the 4^th house: Native will enjoy houses, conveyances and happiness, will have all kinds of wealth and be devoted to his mother.

9^th Lord in the 5^th house: Native will be endowed with sons and prosperity, devoted to elders, bold, charitable and learned.

9^th Lord in the 6^th house: Native will enjoy meagre prosperity, be devoid of happiness from maternal relatives and be always troubled by enemies.

9^th Lord in the 7^th house: Native beget happiness after marriage, be virtuous and famous.

9^th Lord in the 8^th house: Native will not be prosperous and will not enjoy happiness from his elder brother.

9^th Lord in the 9^th house: Native will be endowed with abundant fortunes, virtues and beauty and will enjoy much happiness from co-born.

9^th Lord in the 10^th house: Native will be a king, or equal to him, or be a minister, or an Army chief, be virtuous and dear to all.

9^th Lord in the 11^th house: Native will enjoy financial gains day by day, be devoted to elders, virtuous and meritorious in acts.

9^th Lord in the 12^th house: Native will incur loss of fortunes, will always spend on auspicious acts and will become poor on account of entertaining guests.
