All planets in Vedic astrology produce positional effects. There is a reason why you have got the planets in those positions in your horoscope.

However, every planet also gives Drishti / Aspects or looks at specific places/houses in your horoscope from where they sit. These Aspects or looks have their own meaning. If you understand them then it’s easier to pinpoint the underlying psychological pattern of the native respective to specific areas in life.

These planetary aspects/looks can be divided into 2 categories:

1 – Full aspect (7^th Aspect) – Here the planet looks straight at the house opposite to it and bestows the natural qualities of the planet in the matters of that house. Example – Planet in 1^sthouse will look at the 7^th house and create this effect.

2- Special aspect – The planet looks at houses, other than the 7^th house from it. Here the planet has an agenda for each house it looks at. Let’s understand them one by one.

1. Jupiter / Rahu / Ketu – look at the 5^th and 9^th house from where they are seated, other than the 7^th house.
2. Saturn – looks at the 3^rd and 10^th house from where it is seated, other than the 7^th house.
3. Mars – Looks at the 4^th and 8^th house from where it is seated.

Now, let’s look deeper into what it really means.

Jupiter – the planet of Dharma, Expansion, Morality, Positivity, hope & wishes, celebrating moments:

• Jupiter’s 5^th Aspect – When Jupiter throws its 5^th aspect on any house – That house becomes like your kid/student/ passion/fun in your life. That house will give you the practical knowledge of your existence when you deal with those significations.
  • Like Jupiter in 1H in Gemini – 5H becomes Libra where Jupiter’s 5^th aspect is working.
    • So, in matters of your kid, education, business, trade, and markets – you will be very passionate and enjoy every moment as you go along the journey to get practical knowledge of these areas of life and grow yourself in the process.
• Jupiter’s 9^th Aspect – When Jupiter throws its 9th aspect on any house – That house becomes your higher Dharma. Somehow you are forced to learn those things. These are the Higher things/philosophy we must learn.
  • Like Jupiter in 1H in Gemini – the 9^th House becomes Aquarius, where Jupiter’s 9^th aspect is working.
    • So, whether you like it or not, in matters related to Righteousness, Religion, Higher philosophy, Service to Father/bosses, working in big organizations & teams, working for your luck & livelihood, you will be forced to learn things, the experience of which will elevate you to a different personality.

Saturn – the planet of Patience, Sorrow, Discipline, Hard work, Status in Society, and how people perceive us:

• Saturn’s 3^rd Aspect – When Saturn throws its 3^rd aspect on any house – You must be extremely disciplined, organized, structured, and planned towards the significations of that house. Moreover, you must be very patient with those significations and keep on improving daily, only then you will get a big reward.
  • Like – Saturn in the 3^rd House in Leo. The 3^rd house from Saturn becomes Libra, where its 3^rd aspect is working in the 5^th House.
    • So, in matters of your kid, education, business, trade, and markets – You must be extremely disciplined, organized, structured, and planned. You must patiently improve everyday post which you will get big rewards.
• Saturn’s 10^th Aspect – When Saturn throws its 10^th aspect on any house – You must put in a lot of Hard Work, Effort, Discipline, Organization, and Patience to deal with the Reputation, Image, and Authority of that house.
  • Like – Saturn in the 3^rd House in Leo. The 10^th house from Saturn becomes Taurus, where its 10^th aspect is working in the 12^th House.
    • So, you must put in a lot of Hard Work, Effort, Discipline, Organization, and Patience to deal with matters of Money, Financial expenses, Father’s property & peace, Parental Grandmother, your feet, and any kind of devotion (material or non-material) in your life.

Mars – the planet of Courage, Effort, Command, Rule, Survival, Siblings, Initiation, Focus, Land, Husband, and Logical change:

• Mars’ 4^th Aspect – When Mars throws its 4^th aspect on any house – You want to conquer that area in your life no matter what, and you will put in all the efforts required to do so.
  • Like – Mars in the 2^nd House in Cancer. The 4^th house from Mars becomes Libra, where its 4^th aspect is working in the 5^th House.
    • So, in matters of your kid, education, business, trade, and markets – You will put in all your efforts logically, to succeed and establish your command.
• Mars’ 8^th Aspect – When Mars throws its 8^th aspect on any house – You will take the challenge there and overcome all adversities. You will explore fearlessly and conquer.
  • Like – Mars in the 2^nd House in Cancer. The 8^th house from Mars becomes Aquarius, where its 8^th aspect is working in the 9^th House.
    • So, you will be exploring the world of financial management, higher learning, the occult, your inner principles, and dealing with your seniors fearlessly. You will overcome all adversities there command your position.

Rahu – the planet of Desire, Obsession / Attachment, Goals achievement, Illusion, drive to be the best in everything, Magician, Innovator, technical, scientific, unusual things, not accepted in near society, depth:

• Rahu’s 5^th Aspect – When Rahu throws its 5^th aspect on any house – You are obsessed with those significations, and you will do anything to take control there.
  • Like – Rahu in the 4^th House in Virgo. The 5^th house from Rahu becomes Capricorn, where its 5^th aspect is working in the 8^th House.
    • So, you become obsessed with work, occult sciences, research, and data, and will do anything to gain control here and be the best. Also, you would be inclined to control the environment of in-laws and your spouse’s wealth.
• Rahu’s 9^th Aspect – When Rahu throws its 9^th aspect on any house – You are inclined to be the best advisor/counselor in that area, which you are not. You should focus on mastering those things. Only then you will be able to create your own methods and command there.
  • Like – Rahu in the 4^th House in Virgo. The 9^th house from Rahu becomes Taurus, where its 9^th aspect is working in the 12^th House.
    • So, you will be inclined to advise / counsel people like your father’s family, your elder brother, or your daughter/son-in-law regarding matters of financial literacy, financial management, spirituality, meditation, etc. wherein you have not mastered that yet. You should focus on mastering those things before giving your advice.

Ketu –Detachment / Separation, Moksha / Nothingness, Past life experiences, Sorcery Energy, Past life experience, Electricity, Research. Does not separate us physically where it aspects, but it separates us mentally/emotionally more. Where it sits, it separates us physically more.

• Ketu’s 5^th Aspect – When Ketu throws its 5^th aspect on any house – You are very curious there. Want to go know more and try new things in different ways.
  • Like – Ketu is in the 10^th House in Pisces. The 5^th house from Ketu becomes Cancer, where its 5^th aspect is working in the 2^nd House.
    • So naturally you are inclined to know more about family, how to get peace, how to build wealth and land, and how to improve and build on your core principles. To learn this Ketu will help you detach from your emotions mentally, which are holding you back from elevating.
• Ketu’s 9^th Aspect – When Ketu throws its 9^th aspect on any house – You want to go to the core of that area and understand it totally.
  • Like – Ketu is in the 10^th House in Pisces. The 9^th house from Ketu becomes Scorpio, where its 9^th aspect is working in the 6^th House.
• So naturally you are inclined to know super fine details about how to heal people, occult sciences, and pending karma from past life. You will want to resolve issues by going deep into the problems and rectifying them from the core. Ketu will help you get detached from in-laws and maternal family, who could hold you back from elevating.
